Task Hierarchy and Dependencies
Work items can be linked to one another as parent, child, dependency or simply related. A large remediation effort can be broken into parts that still roll up, and blocking relationships become explicit rather than remembered. The structure of the work is recorded rather than carried by whoever set it up.
